python-astroid software package provides rebuild a new abstract syntax tree from Pythons AST, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-astroid
python-astroid is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-astroid package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-astroid *
You will get with python-astroid package name, version, architecture and description in a table
