python-argcomplete software package provides bash tab completion for argparse, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-argcomplete
python-argcomplete is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-argcomplete package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-argcomplete *
You will get with python-argcomplete package name, version, architecture and description in a table
