How to Install python-apt-dev software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

python-apt-dev software package provides Python interface to libapt-pkg (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install python-apt-dev

python-apt-dev is installed in your system.

Make ensure the python-apt-dev package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-apt-dev *

You will get with python-apt-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
