putty-tools software package provides command-line tools for SSH, SCP, and SFTP, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install putty-tools
putty-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the putty-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep putty-tools *
You will get with putty-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
