puredata-utils software package provides realtime computer music and graphics system - utility programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install puredata-utils
puredata-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the puredata-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep puredata-utils *
You will get with puredata-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
