puppetmaster software package provides Centralized configuration management - master startup and compatibility scripts, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install puppetmaster
puppetmaster is installed in your system.
Make ensure the puppetmaster package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep puppetmaster *
You will get with puppetmaster package name, version, architecture and description in a table
