procinfo software package provides reporter for system information from /proc and /sys, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install procinfo
procinfo is installed in your system.
Make ensure the procinfo package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep procinfo *
You will get with procinfo package name, version, architecture and description in a table
