probcons software package provides PROBabilistic CONSistency-based multiple sequence alignment, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install probcons
probcons is installed in your system.
Make ensure the probcons package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep probcons *
You will get with probcons package name, version, architecture and description in a table
