prboom software package provides dummy package for the transition from prboom to prboom-plus, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install prboom
prboom is installed in your system.
Make ensure the prboom package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep prboom *
You will get with prboom package name, version, architecture and description in a table
