How to Install postfix software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

postfix software package provides High-performance mail transport agent, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install postfix

postfix is installed in your system.

Make ensure the postfix package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep postfix *

You will get with postfix package name, version, architecture and description in a table
