popularity-contest software package provides Vote for your favourite packages automatically, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install popularity-contest
popularity-contest is installed in your system.
Make ensure the popularity-contest package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep popularity-contest *
You will get with popularity-contest package name, version, architecture and description in a table
