plplot12-driver-gd software package provides Scientific plotting library (GD driver), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install plplot12-driver-gd
plplot12-driver-gd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the plplot12-driver-gd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep plplot12-driver-gd *
You will get with plplot12-driver-gd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
