plip-modules-3.13.0-24-powerpc software package provides PLIP (parallel port) networking support, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install plip-modules-3.13.0-24-powerpc
plip-modules-3.13.0-24-powerpc is installed in your system.
