pidgin-sipe software package provides Pidgin plugin for MS Office Communicator and MS Lync, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pidgin-sipe
pidgin-sipe is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pidgin-sipe package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pidgin-sipe *
You will get with pidgin-sipe package name, version, architecture and description in a table
