How to Install pidgin software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

pidgin software package provides graphical multi-protocol instant messaging client for X, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install pidgin

pidgin is installed in your system.

Make ensure the pidgin package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pidgin *

You will get with pidgin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
