picon-news software package provides Picon (Personal Images) db of Usenet newsgroups and hierarchies, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install picon-news
picon-news is installed in your system.
Make ensure the picon-news package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep picon-news *
You will get with picon-news package name, version, architecture and description in a table
