phylip-doc software package provides package of programs for inferring phylogenies (documentation), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install phylip-doc
phylip-doc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the phylip-doc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep phylip-doc *
You will get with phylip-doc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
