phpwebcounter software package provides simple and light web hit counter, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install phpwebcounter
phpwebcounter is installed in your system.
Make ensure the phpwebcounter package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep phpwebcounter *
You will get with phpwebcounter package name, version, architecture and description in a table
