How to Install php5 software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

php5 software package provides server-side, HTML-embedded scripting language (metapackage), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install php5

php5 is installed in your system.

Make ensure the php5 package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep php5 *

You will get with php5 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
