php-zeroc-ice software package provides Ice for PHP extension, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install php-zeroc-ice
php-zeroc-ice is installed in your system.
Make ensure the php-zeroc-ice package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep php-zeroc-ice *
You will get with php-zeroc-ice package name, version, architecture and description in a table
