How to uninstall or remove phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer-d software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer-d package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer-d

Uninstall phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer-d including dependent package

If you would like to remove phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer-d and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer-d

Use Purging phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer-d

If you use with purge options to phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer-d package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer-d

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer-d
