pdns-backend-lua software package provides lua backend for PowerDNS, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pdns-backend-lua
pdns-backend-lua is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pdns-backend-lua package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pdns-backend-lua *
You will get with pdns-backend-lua package name, version, architecture and description in a table
