pdftoipe software package provides converts arbitrary PDF file to XML file readable by Ipe, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pdftoipe
pdftoipe is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pdftoipe package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pdftoipe *
You will get with pdftoipe package name, version, architecture and description in a table
