passwdqc software package provides password strength checking and policy enforcement toolset, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install passwdqc
passwdqc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the passwdqc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep passwdqc *
You will get with passwdqc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
