partclone software package provides Utility to clone and restore a partition, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install partclone
partclone is installed in your system.
Make ensure the partclone package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep partclone *
You will get with partclone package name, version, architecture and description in a table
