paml software package provides Phylogenetic Analysis by Maximum Likelihood (PAML), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install paml
paml is installed in your system.
Make ensure the paml package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep paml *
You will get with paml package name, version, architecture and description in a table
