otf-freefont software package provides transitional dummy package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install otf-freefont
otf-freefont is installed in your system.
Make ensure the otf-freefont package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep otf-freefont *
You will get with otf-freefont package name, version, architecture and description in a table
