oss-preserve software package provides Program to save/restore OSS mixer settings, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install oss-preserve
oss-preserve is installed in your system.
Make ensure the oss-preserve package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep oss-preserve *
You will get with oss-preserve package name, version, architecture and description in a table
