How to uninstall or remove openturns-examples software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed openturns-examples package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove openturns-examples

Uninstall openturns-examples including dependent package

If you would like to remove openturns-examples and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove openturns-examples

Use Purging openturns-examples

If you use with purge options to openturns-examples package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge openturns-examples

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove openturns-examples
