How to Install openssl software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

openssl software package provides Secure Sockets Layer toolkit - cryptographic utility, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install openssl

openssl is installed in your system.

Make ensure the openssl package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep openssl *

You will get with openssl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
