How to Install opensm software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

opensm software package provides InfiniBand subnet manager, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install opensm

opensm is installed in your system.

Make ensure the opensm package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep opensm *

You will get with opensm package name, version, architecture and description in a table
