How to uninstall or remove opensaml2-schemas software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed opensaml2-schemas package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove opensaml2-schemas

Uninstall opensaml2-schemas including dependent package

If you would like to remove opensaml2-schemas and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove opensaml2-schemas

Use Purging opensaml2-schemas

If you use with purge options to opensaml2-schemas package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge opensaml2-schemas

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove opensaml2-schemas
