openprinting-ppds software package provides OpenPrinting printer support - PostScript PPD files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install openprinting-ppds
openprinting-ppds is installed in your system.
Make ensure the openprinting-ppds package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep openprinting-ppds *
You will get with openprinting-ppds package name, version, architecture and description in a table
