How to Install openocd software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

openocd software package provides Open on-chip JTAG debug solution for ARM and MIPS systems, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install openocd

openocd is installed in your system.

Make ensure the openocd package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep openocd *

You will get with openocd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
