openms-common software package provides package for LC/MS data management and analysis - shared data, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install openms-common
openms-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the openms-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep openms-common *
You will get with openms-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
