openjdk-7-dbg software package provides Java runtime based on OpenJDK (debugging symbols), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-dbg
openjdk-7-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the openjdk-7-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep openjdk-7-dbg *
You will get with openjdk-7-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
