openbios-ppc software package provides PowerPC Open Firmware, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install openbios-ppc
openbios-ppc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the openbios-ppc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep openbios-ppc *
You will get with openbios-ppc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
