open-font-design-toolkit software package provides metapackage for open font design, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install open-font-design-toolkit
open-font-design-toolkit is installed in your system.
Make ensure the open-font-design-toolkit package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep open-font-design-toolkit *
You will get with open-font-design-toolkit package name, version, architecture and description in a table
