ohai software package provides Detects data about your operating system and reports it in JSON, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ohai
ohai is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ohai package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ohai *
You will get with ohai package name, version, architecture and description in a table
