octave-secs2d software package provides semi conductor simulator in 2D for Octave, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install octave-secs2d
octave-secs2d is installed in your system.
Make ensure the octave-secs2d package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep octave-secs2d *
You will get with octave-secs2d package name, version, architecture and description in a table
