octave-bim software package provides PDE solver using a finite element/volume approach in Octave, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install octave-bim
octave-bim is installed in your system.
Make ensure the octave-bim package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep octave-bim *
You will get with octave-bim package name, version, architecture and description in a table
