nwrite software package provides Enhanced replacement for the write command, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nwrite
nwrite is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nwrite package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nwrite *
You will get with nwrite package name, version, architecture and description in a table
