nvidia-profiler software package provides NVIDIA Profiler for CUDA and OpenCL, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nvidia-profiler
nvidia-profiler is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nvidia-profiler package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nvidia-profiler *
You will get with nvidia-profiler package name, version, architecture and description in a table
