How to Install ns2 software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

ns2 software package provides Discrete event simulator targeted at networking research, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install ns2

ns2 is installed in your system.

Make ensure the ns2 package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ns2 *

You will get with ns2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
