How to Install npm software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

npm software package provides package manager for Node.js, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install npm 

npm is installed in your system.

Make ensure the npm package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep npm *

You will get with npm package name, version, architecture and description in a table
