nova-api-os-compute software package provides OpenStack Compute - OpenStack Compute API frontend, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nova-api-os-compute
nova-api-os-compute is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nova-api-os-compute package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nova-api-os-compute *
You will get with nova-api-os-compute package name, version, architecture and description in a table
