nikola software package provides simple yet powerful and flexible static website and blog generator, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nikola
nikola is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nikola package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nikola *
You will get with nikola package name, version, architecture and description in a table
