nbtscan software package provides A program for scanning networks for NetBIOS name information, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nbtscan
nbtscan is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nbtscan package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nbtscan *
You will get with nbtscan package name, version, architecture and description in a table
