nagios3-dbg software package provides debugging symbols and debug stuff for nagios3, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nagios3-dbg
nagios3-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nagios3-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nagios3-dbg *
You will get with nagios3-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
