nagios-plugins-standard software package provides Plugins for nagios compatible monitoring systems, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nagios-plugins-standard
nagios-plugins-standard is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nagios-plugins-standard package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nagios-plugins-standard *
You will get with nagios-plugins-standard package name, version, architecture and description in a table
